Mac OSX lite on future iPods

ipods2.jpg

Steve Jobs informed us during his keynote in January of Mac OSX ‘lite’ appearing on the iPhone. Now there’s talk about a stripped down version of Mac OSX ‘lite’ with wireless capabilities and mobile iTMS (iTunes Music Store) to appear in future touch-screen iPods.

Although the new iPods won’t make their debut until at least Q4 of this year, it’s something to look forward to and save your pennies for!

Adobe Creative Suite 3 available March 27th

Confirmed earlier this morning, Adobe will launch CS3 at a special event in New York on March 27th. CS3 will be the first to release to run natively on Intel-based Macs. Adobe calls the March 27th announcement to be “the largest software release in Adobe’s 25-year history”.

The ‘In Moderation’ widget is available

Although not a desktop widget, the ‘In Moderation’ web widget will have to do. This widget joins the widget marketplace at WidgetBox. I recommend checking it out — it’s a bit like bookmarking, and very addicting.

RetroMacCast—podcast reviews of vintage Macs

oldmac.jpg

RetroMacCast’s hosts, James and John, love old Macs. So much in fact that they review vintage Macs on their new podcast, RetroMacCast. Each weekly episode featuring a different vintage Mac is roughly 20-30 minutes long, well-organized, casual, and keeps you coming back. They’re interesting, and James and John truly do a terrific job.

Still holding onto that original 1989 Gameboy? Why not put it to good use by converting it into a case for your iPod video? The Gameboy buttons even take the place of the click wheel!

Hidden details from the iPhone keynote

Four things you may have missed during Steve Jobs’ keynote address:

  • what the calendar application looks like
  • how to view traffic in Google maps
  • another way to scroll through long lists
  • how ringtones may work
