The Apple iMac is likely to undergo a serious redesign in the near future. Slimmer and sleeker than the current iMac (released Sept 6, 2006), the new design will put its competitors to shame. The 20- and 24-inch models are up for the redesign, however, the 17-inch may not be so lucky. In fact, rumors have it that the future of the 17-inch iMac is uncertain.

Regarding the iMac going black—nothing new has been reported on this subject.
